As an entertainer within the Care Industry for over 25 years, I regularly appear at over 300 care homes in Wales and England so I have a good knowledge of the standard available in the care industry. Therefore, I have found Erwhir a fabulous care home with fantastic staff. The care home staff are always welcoming and informative and only too willing to help no matter how busy they are. Erwhir is well decorated and furnished to a high standard. Sadly, my parents are no longer alive but if they were and I needed to place them into a care home, then I would not hesitate in bringing them to Erwhir. I totally recommend Erwhir to anyone.

I have been to Erwhir on many occasions over the last decade and more, as a visitor, to carry out maintenance work, and as a friend of the Proprietors.
I can honestly vouch for the fact that Aled runs a very tight ship at Erwhir.
Care and attention is given to every need for their Residents, and regardless of the cost, personal or financial, the Residents ALWAYS come first.
Staff are also treated well at the Home, and standards are set very high as to their training and supervision when required to ensure the quality of care provided.
Having visited a number of Homes in the area for various reasons over the years, I can certainly say that Erwhir would most definetely be my choice of Home for any relative of mine that needed a Home to go to.

My parents have been residents in Erw Hir for the past year or so. They are both so happy and well cared for. The management and staff can't do enough for them and do everything possible to keep them safe during the pandemic. It is hugely comforting to myself and my family that they are in such a great home and extremely happy there. Can't recommend Erw Hir highly enough

My Uncle had restbite care in Erwhir 18 months ago and is still there, now as a resident. The Care Home is small but such a homely environment. I cannot thank Aled, the manager and the staff for all the care they provide my Uncle, especially through the Covid pandemic, they have been amazing. They have kept us updated throughout and allowed visiting when procedures allow. Every time I visit, all the staff are very friendly and professional. I am extremely happy that my Uncle has the 24 hour care he needs and I would highly recommend the home.

For almost 20 years I have been 'crooning' in scores of Care Homes across the south Wales region, and I can honestly say that Erwhir in Carmarthen is my favourite intimate, and homely, Care Home. Aled and Donna, and indeed the Staff, have always welcomed us with a genuine interest in what we do, and I always feel that the Residents, so well looked after, enjoy our entertainment. I will also add, with tongue-in-cheek, that if Margaret and I ever have a blazing row, I'd be phoning Donna for bed and breakfast, because that's how welcoming Erwhir is!

Visited a few residents here over the years whilst there I have witnessed staff supporting the residents in a very caring manner. The entertainment that goes on there is fantastic. The place always appears clean and fresh.

I visit many care homes in my role as a health & safety practitioner and regularly visit Erwhir Care Home to review their compliance & safeguarding of their residents. I often set my benchmark at 'would I send my elderly relative here' and I can confidently say I would. There are many ways that I could describe the management of care at the home and to name a few it would be caring, compassionate, reliable and safe. They are certainly a 'home from home'. I would highly recommend the staff, management & the environment here to anyone wishing to move their elderly relative or friend to a safe, warm and homely residence.
